Activities

Grand Cayman has tons of activities for you to partake in. They include:

-Scuba Diving (we use Divers Down, they will come pick you up)
-Parasailing (Parasailing Professionals will pick you up on the beach, 916-2953)
-Snorkeling (you can find some great snorkeling from right off the beach)
-Jet Ski (you can take a "wave runner safari", leaving from the Marriott just down the beach)
-Visit the Turtle Farm (the Turtle Farm is one of the most famous attractions in Cayman)
-Take a submarine ride (Atlantis submarine rides are great fun for the whole family)
-Lounge out by the pool
-Go for a dip in the crystal clear pool
-Play a set of tennis on the lighted courts
-Go for a round of golf at one of the nearby championship courses

Shopping

Grand Cayman is famous for its duty free shopping. Great duty free shopping can be found in downtown Georgetown, which is a 15-30 minute walk depending on your pace. Closer shopping can be found in the Queens Court Shopping Center, which is just across the street from our condo, or at Seven Mile Shops, which is next-door to Queens Court. Other great shopping can be found elsewhere on the island.

Dining

Grand Cayman is also well known for its great dining opportunities. Right across the street from our condo is a great Thai restaurant. Further down are a number of other great restaurants, including:

-The famed Wharf, a 5-10 minute walk
-Pappagallo (must drive/ take taxi)
-The Grand Old House (must drive/ take taxi)
-The Reef Grill (may have to drive)

Getting Around

We tend to walk everywhere we need to go, including to dinner and to downtown George Town. There will be times when you will need a car, and you can either rent a car, or use a tax. Taxi services abound, though we recommend Ace Nice Taxi, (777-7777). We also have a rental-car discount available from Marshall Rent-a-Car for you (use the following rate codes to make your reservations- these rates are not available unless you make a reservation).
